Have you ever talked to anyone about camping who asked you if it was boring?
If they said, “Yes”, then send them to Timberline Campground.
If there’s something (within reason) that you want to do then it’s most likely already on their action packed agenda.
I wish that I had known about this place when the boys were younger. There are so many things here that are geared toward younger children. They have a playground and a bounce spot but there are also races, hula-hooping, wagon rides, contests, basketball, kickball, slip-n-slide, pool parties, trick-or-treating, lighted parades, etc. I mean really. They have put some planning together to make it enjoyable for all ages.
What’s to see?
On the grounds are some permanent sites which are something to see. Who knew camping could be so fancy?
We walked around and took it all in to get the lay of the land and see where we want to be when we return. Each section had their pluses and minuses so I think we would be happy in any spot. What I can say is that as we walked around for a few hours what we did see was that many of the people who camp here have come to know each other and develop friendships. They are hopping from site to site and visiting and laughing and their kids are playing together. It’s a neighborhood. I loved it!!
